As we know the trial is scheduled from January 11th to January 13th, 2010 in the Circuit Court:

If you would like to attend the trial, you are more than welcome, the courtroom is open to the public.
The courtroom will be assigned on that week. You can learn about the assigned courtroom on Monday morning if you approach information booth – once you have passed through security – and you only need to give my name: Trudy Munoz so that they can give you the floor and courtroom number.
It is very important to show respect to the jury and the judge, so please come dresses as formal as possible.
I’m very excited because this will end soon, God has given me serenity and peace, thanks to each and every one of those who have been praying constantly for me, trusted me and believe in my complete innocence, this will be the final step.
For those who cannot attend I’ll keep you in my thoughts, spirit and soul.

America is also a land where you are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. I know about this case because of my friendship to the Whitmers, but this woman has a right to her day in court. Besides that, it’s very WRONG and UN-CHRISTIAN to ask God to heal Noah, while we judge and condemn. Trust in the Lord that he will deliver justice. You don’t get to call expert witnesses when you go before Him.

It is absolutely NOT unChristian to ask God to heal an INNOCENT baby! HE is the one who deserves to come out of this healthy and happy. No one else. HE is the most innocent in all of this.
Frank, It doesnt sound to me like you are a very good friend to Noah and his family. It sounds to me like your moral high ground is so high up that you cant step off your soap box to see whats right in front of you. Glass houses and all that.
Trudy I do hope that justice prevails for this sweet innocent child. And by justice I mean you going to jail.

even though you might “say” you didn’t do anything “wrong” you know in your heart of hearts what you did. it might have been an accident and something you did on impulse but you know it happened. and you will have to remember that for the rest of your life. that family trusted you. shame on you.

I have followed this story from the beginning and it just breaks my heart. A baby does not just choke on some milk and sustain the types of injuries that Noah has. Trudy deserves to be punished for what she did just like any other person would. She has imposed a lifetime of punishment on Noah and his family and in turn she should pay for it. Our prayers should be for Noah and not her. Have any of you seen the pictures of little Noah after the incident?? If you have then you know there is no way that choking on milk did this to him. Maybe she didn’t mean to shake him but she did it. She can continue to lie to everyone including herself…we DON’T believe you. Hopefully the judicial system will prevail and impose a punishment on her that is fitting, although no punishment will ever take Noah back to how he was before she put her hands on him. Pray for the real victim here…Noah and his family.

It is understandable that those close to Trudy are defending her – I mean after all, none of them saw little Noah in the hospital, lifeless, on life support and fighting for his life. These supporters have never tried to look at the scientific facts that support that this baby was indeed shaken by Trudy. They chose to remain ignorant for the sake of their support of Trudy. Those who sent their children to her daycare who thought ‘my daycare lade would never do this’, it’s an understandable thing to be in denial that a woman, who’s job it is to watch children every day could possibly injur this child. The fact is, that she DID. Intentionally or not, she did. She admitted to it. All of the science revolving around Noah’s traumatic brain injury proves without a doubt that he was shaken. Trudy will have to live with the guilt for the rest of her life. She may be in denial now, but it will come back to haunt her, regardless of the trial outcome. She knows she did it. Trudy was right when she said she is happy this is ‘ending soon’… it will be ending with Trudy in jail. As for Noah’s parents, nothing can just ‘end soon’ – they will for the REST of their LIVES be reminded of thier poor son, a victim of a horriffic crime.

To all the hurt mom’s out there, let us be clear, everyone in the entire world prays and hopes that Noah fully recovers, including Trudy and her family. However, justice can only be achieved if we uncover the truth. To discover it, we cannot let our emotions get on the way, but rather look at the evidence that is being presented at trial in a fair an impartial way. The most compelling evidence that has been so far presented at trial that shows Trudy’s innocence is the irrefutable fact that NOAH SUFFERED NO TRAUMA TO THE NECK. As the prosecution’s doctors themselves have testified, Shaking Baby Syndrome requires Violent Shaking. Well, they can have it both way. Scientific literature indicates that you cannot have such violently shake a baby without injuring the neck. Lets us not rush to judgment until all of the evidence is in.

Additionally, Noah, does not have a single mark on his body that would indicate that he was violently shaken, not a single grip mark, bruise or red mark according to evidence by the prosecution’s own doctors. So please, everyone, lets wait until all of the evidence is in before we rush into judgment. In the end, we may discover that the real culprits in this case are the doctors at INOVA hospital who have misdiagnosed Noah and sent an innocent woman to trial.

Alex the doctors at INOVA are not the culprits. A baby just doesn’t drink some milk and end up with a brain injury.

It is quite clear that this is a heated discussion and an emotional debate. However, one should do more research without making assumptions. Even John Caffey, MD, the physician who first coined the terminology of Shaken Baby Syndrome has documented in medical journals that he warns against “Diagnosis Murder.” He cautions physicians to look at other causes, particularly if there are no external signs of physical abuse. If you doubt that there are neurological and metabolic conditions that can mimic the symptoms of SBS, all you need to do is “google” Glutaritic Aciduria Type 1 to give you one plausible case after another that has been misdiagnosed as “Shaken Baby Symdrome.” One mother from St. Louis was falsely accused of shaking her own child. Fifteen years later, they discovered the boy had GA, type 1. Nothing at all to do with being shaken, but did have the triad of injuries. I wonder how those doctors that prosecuted against her feel about their theories now.
There are many other conditions that can look like SBS, however, once an emergency room doctor or pedicatrician makes the diagnosis, anything that does not fit the initial hypothesis gets disregarded.

We can not blame the parents of Noah. They are missleaded by a false theory. I heard the trial for 2 days, I listened to the doctors from one side and the other, there is no such BSS without damage to the neck. We really hope that Noah get better. But today as never before we are sure about Trudys inocence

I am torn in this case, through pictures, saw the baby when he was little and saw him again after his injury, it just broke my heart cause I’m dad myself and can’t fully understand the pain Noah’s parents are going through, pray for their baby’s total recovery and as for Trudy hope justice is served, there was noone else that day to see what really happened but it can be demostrated in court, trust God TRUTH will be revealed.

There is no single other cause of IMMEDIATE retinal hemorraghing and subdural hematoma in this scenario. Given he was not in a severe car crash or similar, there are no other ways he could have those symptoms. Those who believe in the ‘other possible theories’ DO NOT take into account that if it were indeed something else, all of them would have taken hours, days, or weeks for Noah to deteriorate – it would not just happen in a matter of minutes or seconds. It takes extreme force (such as violent shaking, slamming, automobile accident or ejection from a motorcycle, etc… to create the immediate symptoms that Noah exhibited.
Christian, nowhere in the explanation of ‘Glutaritic Aciduria Type 1′ did I find it saying it caused immediate immediate serious consequences – these babies exhibit symptoms early on as newborns – according to the article I read by ‘googling’ it.
SBS is a real occurance, and is devastating, often fatal. Voluntarily or involuntarily, there have been hundreds of proven cases of babies that exhibited Noah’s exact same symptoms and who’s perpetrator confessed to shaking.

I have been watching this case and have read both blogs. After hearing the expert witnesses, I have changed my mind about the guilt of this woman. I cannot get past the possibility that the child may have had a problem at birth that was undetected. I am not sure what i think now, but I do know that a reasonable doubt does now exist.

Why are you so happy? There are hurt hearts and sadness everywhere around this sweet lady and her loved ones.
How sure you are that Trudy did that to Noah? She loved him and took always care of him. She has never admitted accusations of violent shaking that little angel, let’s be clear on that. She did to him CPR. There was also another adult that day taking care of Noah and the rest of the children, while she went to her appointment with the doctor. Did you know that? That person has never appeared in court, and I am sure the police never interrogated her. If that is no neglect, then what is! I am so sad for all the involved professionals that didn’t perform as required by this serious case.
I would have no doubt leaving my own babies at her care. Don’t you know her enough to say so? Go and get to know her. Don’t be afraid of seeking for the truth.
Remember the truth will sooner or later be known and then, I hope you and all who misjudged her will be the one to feel ashamed by your own comments here.
I am sad for the outcome, but sure and happy this case will not end here.
I am sad for all the innocent cases, unjustly accused moms and care givers in jail now, that can’t benefit from this case, legal system needs to be reformed about this really silly name “SBS”. Just by reading it you get the “Shaken” word cast in your mind.
Child abuse by daycare provider? Let’s make laws to have cameras in all daycare facilities as a prerequisite to get a license. Mandatory! This case as well as many more, wouldn’t have gone to court if that simple rule had be already in place.
I pray for Noah, but I will also, like many many others, pray for Trudy, and for all those cases like this where justice has not been well served.

You speak of Trudy’s assistant as if she is some long lost hire that disappeared….As a moderator of this page, I would think that you would know very well that it was Trudys sister in law. ALSO, an illegal immigrant of this great country. So, lets be real here. Well, as long as you have nothing to hide and you think your fellow supporters back in Peru deserve to know the TRUTH and all the FACTS, right? Or are you going to deny them that privilege just like your media outlets? Trudy knows where her sister in law is, but that is really irrelevant, as she wasn’t there with Noah when he was violently shaken as the medical testimony proves.
Is anyone from Trudy’s side going to explain why she didn’t have INSURANCE for her daycare, as licensed daycare is REQUIRED BY LAW to have?
How about a lie detector test? Why didn’t she take that to prove her innocence? Hmmmmm.

I do moderate the website but I don’t know much about the daycare assistant. In-law or not, illegal or not, I insist her testimony should have been also part of the investigation.
I support the idea of lie detector test, I am not sure though it would be admitted in Court as an evidence. Ironically, the Court did admit a ‘translated’ report of her ‘confession’ made by the County’s social worker when we all know language barriers do lead to misunderstandings.
Final remark, EVERYONE wants to know the truth here. Everyone wants justice served. Trudy and her family are the first ones claiming for that.
I also agree there are lots of reasonable doubts in this case, not only innocent people who claims innocence, the entire society loses if administration of justice fails.

You live in a small home with a big dog and two cats (I saw the pictures)
Noah’s father who has admitted to being violent, he wrote in his blog: “FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNEW ME AS A TEENAGER BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT TOO MUCH OF MY LIFE HAS BEEN WASTED WITH HATE AND AGGRESSION”
There are many things that could have happened over that weekend, think of all the possibilities?
I cannot imagine a Father writing words and calls Noah “LITTLE CRACK ADDICT.” when his son is very bad medical conditions:
He wrote: “WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OUR FIVE-MONTH-OLD WOULD BE ON METHADONE AND VALIUM? MIKE CALLS HIM HIS “LITTLE CRACK ADDICT.” WE LAUGH ABOUT THIS BECAUSE WE HADN’T EVEN PLANNED ON LETTING NOAH DRINK JUICE!”
What kind the Parents are you?

I attended one of the trial’s days and witnesses de divergent or contradictory cientific-medical explanations for a child’s injury stated by expert witnesses brought in by the defense and the prosecutor. The jury was composed by 11 (from a total of 12) jurors of Anglosaxon background.
Given the fact that legally the jury could find someone guilty only under “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard,” that it’s known the existence of an anti-immigrant-Hispanic sentiment within the Fairfax and surrounding areas of Virginia, and that the existence of divergent or contradictory cientific-medical explanations explaining the injury could not support the existence of any “reasonable doubt” standard in this case, the jury’s conduct (it take them only 5 hours to decide in case of factual and cientific complexity!) can properly be attributted to the juror’s bias or prejudice reflecting such anti-immigrant and Hispanic sentiment. I did not check if the judge can quash the jury’s verdict as allowed by the Virginia’s criminal procedural law. It’s sad the child’s injury, but please do not add another event of sadness for a mother and her children. CAN WE ORGANIZE A PUBLIC APPEARANCE IN SOLIDARITY AGAINST THIS JURY’S VERDICT AROUND THE COURT HOUSE?

I just read back over these posts and had to comment further. I doubt you will ever approve this comment but at least you will have seen it. Shame on you! How dare you call SBS a silly name? The last thing poor defenseless infants need is someone spreading more ignorance and undoing all the educating we have tried to do. We see it all the time, in emergency rooms and in children who have to be placed with foster families. I am in no place to argue that there could be other reasons medically sometimes but there are countless examples where the perpetrator has admitted what they have done.
And I am offended that you feel you could recommend what our country could make required in “licensed” facilities. Am I wrong in understanding that Trudy was here illegally and did not have insurance? So, how was she even licensed? Did she fake information for authorities or show/tell Mrs. Whitmer false information?
I am still very sorry for all involved but everyone needs to wake up and get off the “SBS doesn’t exist” bandwagon! Knowledge is power and we have come too far to go backward. Wake up!
